I missed this off from before, but as this was Virgin Atlantic's first Manchester to Las Vegas flight, several things happened :-
1) We all got Champaign and bucks Fizz and a cake at the boarding gate
2) We all got a Vegas "goodie bag" containing things such as a poster, T-shift, flashing Vegas badge, a flash-drive etc
3) Cakes were handed out on the plane
4) When landing in the US, the McCarran fire trucks showered the plane with water (aparently that is how they welcome new planes)
5) On arrival in the US, we were all given more gifts by McCarran airport
6) Loads of news stations were filming us on arrival.
One wierd thing was I was the only person on the shuttle bus from McCarran to the car hire center and the car hire center was near empty. I guess no one arriving from the UK wants to hire a car (I can see why)
When I got to the car hire center, an upgraded car was waiting for me in the garage by the express desk, the weird thing was they just gave me the car without even checking my paperwork or anything.
